Zahid Hasan was born on 04 October 1967. His father’s name is Ilias Uddin Talukdar, and his mother is Hamida Begum. Zahid grew up at his grandparent’s house in Sirajganj district, Bangladesh. Zahid’s father was a customs superintendent, and his mother was a housewife. His mother, Hamida Begum, died on 27 November 2014 at Samarita Hospital in Dhaka.

Zahid Hasan is the younger son of his parents among eight siblings; he has four brothers and three sisters. Zahid came to Dhaka from his home district to build a career in any working sector rather than becoming a country-famous actor.

Zahid Hasan debuted in the film industry with the movie Boloban in 1986. Zahid came to the limelight around the country when he acted in the film Srabon Megher Din, directed by Humayun Ahmed, where he played the role of Moti. The movie was also a commercial success, and Zahid was highly praised for his brilliant acting performance.
